Siren's Echo
From the belly of the city thorns Portland
Oregon emerges Siren’s Echo, a long awaited union between
Oldominion’s Syndel and Hungry Mob’s Toni Hill.
The two combine soulful melodies and profound lyricism over
the head knocking production of Pale Soul, Smoke, and Mako,
setting the mood for those who truly appreciate good music.
Being intelligent, independent women, Siren’s Echo strives
to break the stereotypes of women in hip hop through conscious
lyrics and spit fire delivery. They have been on the frontline
of Seattle and Portland’s burgeoning hip hop scenes since
1998, becoming a staple in both communities. Siren’s Echo
credits Nina Simone, Erykah Badu, Pharoahe Monch, Arrested development,
and 2pac as some of their many musical inspirations. They have
shared the stage with such notable artist as Xzibit, Blackalicious,
GZA, The Roots, Snoop Dogg, Dilated Peoples, Swollen Members,
Ras Kass, Common Sense and Erykah Badu, amongst others, as well
as creating musical collaborations with such artist as The Living
Legends and Rocker-T. With their magnetic chemistry on and off
stage, Siren’s Echo is sure to become more than just another
brick in the wall. Look forward to these two pillars doing big
things.
