Omega
THE LAST SHALL BE FIRST...
Ever since the age of eleven, Ethiopian born Endancheyelem Amare
knew she was born to rock crowds. At that young age she only
rocked her family gatherings breakdancing and pop lockin to
the sounds of 1580 KDAY. By the age of 14 she began to evolve
into a poet then an emcee. At the age of 18 she moved to New
York and began working with underground legends Jeru the Damaja
and GangStarr. In 1999 her first demo was released as Miz Marvel,
part of Tha Supa Human Clik album, featuring Jeru and Lil Dap
from the Group Home Foundation. She toured extensively with
Jeru performing everywhere from Boca Raton, Florida to Zagreb,
Croatia. Shortly after, she moved back to her home town of Los
Angeles Ca, changed her name to "O!"(which she explains
is short for Omega) and began collaborating with and ghostwriting
for other west coast artists. As her evolution as an artist
progressed she discovered that she had a natural gift of songwriting
for other vocalists. Her "virtual resume" of song
styles vary from Pink and No Doubt to Faith Evans and Genuine,
showing that there is a lot more to expect from this self proclaimed
"unconventional hit maker". This dynamic vocalist/songwriter
has a style all her own. With the fusion of hip hop, rock, and
alternative r&b she is the future of new millennium music!!
She incorporates all dimensions of these styles in her highly
anticipated solo project , "OmEgA....The last shall be
first" . She was recently featured on the song, "Callin
me/Blowin me up" by new artist Zion that debuted at #95
on Billboards top 100 and was #7 in single sales in the country.
When asked how she felt about her recent achievement she casually
responded "Even the end has a beginning, ya gotta start
somewhere."
