Angel Ryono (aka A-Ups) B-girlin’ since winter of 2000. Originally from Southern California, a Taiwanese-born writer, visual artist, drummer, and wrestler who finds the Bay Area to be a very nurturing place for women to discover sisterhood through Hip Hop. Graduated with a degree in psychology and presently working with youth to promote positive Hip Hop to local communities. Believes that Hip Hop is an amazing vehicle for social movements, and an important lens for understanding modern Immigrant-American & American culture.
